PMH Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Service (PMH D&FV SS) was formed in 1980 as the Hastings Women and Children's Refuge Inc. to provide crisis accommodation and support to women and their children or single women escaping domestic violence or in crisis.
The Organisation provides many services through its four main service delivery streams;
- Galbaan House - Refuge crisis accommodation
- Liberty Cottage Outreach Centre
- Specialist Housing Support Project and Transitional Housing Program
- Community Partnerships Against D&FV Project
Support services may include
- Specialist domestic & family violence support
- Emergency supported accommodation
- Transitional Housing
- Homelessness/housing support through SHSP colocated with Housing NSW
- Safety planning for women and children escaping D&FV
- Case management / case coordination planning for women and children
- Brokerage
- Information and advocacy pertaining to domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
- Outreach support
- D&FV support colocated with Family & Community Services
- Education Programs and Support Groups
- Registered Men's Behaviour Change Program - Insight
